I see the way

your mind moves forward

aches to fill the empty

with answers

explanations

anything

that will make some

semblance of sense

of a shuttered silence

but beloved

there is no way

to rush through

what is meant to be lived

there is only the flicker of hope

amidst the darkness

a shining reminder

that no matter how long

the night may seem

the sun will always

rise again
